After a brutal collapse in the VCL 2025: South Asia Split 2, Velocity Gaming redeemed themselves by winning Split 3 of the 2025 circuit. Velocity Gaming went against S8UL Esports in the finals of the VCL 2025: South Asia Split 3, and grabbed a comprehensive 3-1 win in the best-of-five matchup. With their victory, Velocity Gaming climbed into the top four of the South Asia circuit and will compete alongside Revenant XSpark, DOT EXE, and S8UL Esports in the Ascension qualifiers.

Velocity Gaming fell short in the LAN finals of Split 2 as they lost to Revenant XSpark and Reckoning Esports in the upper and lower finals, respectively. Split 3 was Velocity’s final chance to advance for the Ascension qualifiers. Velocity Gaming started their Split 3 journey in Group B of the Group Stage with a convincing win against DOT EXE. In the next game, Velocity met Asterisk, where SkRossi and damaraa decimated their opponents. Velocity Gaming secured an easy 2-0 victory after winning 13-4 and 13-3 on the maps of Lotus and Sunset, respectively.

After a comprehensive win over Asterisk, Velocity Gaming met Global Esports Academy in the semi-finals. Despite the semi-finals being a high-stakes game, Velocity Gaming did not break a sweat against GE Academy. Velocity charged from the beginning to secure ten back-to-back rounds from the start and won the first map of Ascent with a 13-2 scoreline. Global Esports Academy showed resilience in the second map, but they couldn’t turn the results in their favour. Velocity Gaming defeated GE Academy with a 2-0 scoreline to advance into the finals.

After a series of effortless games, Velocity Gaming met S8UL Esports in the finals. Velocity looked untouched in the initial maps as Lightningfast spearheaded the team’s attack. Despite some fumbles, Velocity managed to secure the first map with a 13-10 scoreline. On Sunset, Lightningfast’s proactive gameplay in the first half helped Velocity to keep the game from getting away. After a 6-6 half, Velocity thrashed S8UL with a solid defence, helping them secure a 13-8 win on Sunset.

The final was slipping from the hands of S8UL, and Icebox was the do-or-die map for them. Despite playing cautiously in the previous maps, Velocity Gaming couldn’t get a hold on Icebox as S8UL demolished VLT’s strats with back-to-back round wins. S8UL made a comeback by securing Icebox with a 13-2 victory.

Haven was Velocity’s pick, and in the past, they have looked in great shape on it. Velocity started strong, but S8UL pushed hard to equalise in the first half and take a 9-6 lead on defence. With a strong attack on Haven, Velocity Gaming grabbed six back-to-back rounds to reach the 12-9 score. After dropping a single round, Velocity Gaming secured the series point to win the grand final of the VCL 2025: South Asia Split 3.

With a 200 ACS and 59 kills, damaraa secured the MVP title of the finals. Velocity Gaming secured the ₹24,00,000 prize of the ₹53,00,000 prize pool. Velocity finished on top of the VCL South Asia circuit. Revenant XSpark, Velocity Gaming, DOT EXE, and S8UL Esports will compete in the Ascension qualifier, which will feature a LAN finals from July 7 to choose the South Asia representative at the VCT Ascension Pacific 2025.
