Throughout the three Splits, Velocity Gaming showcased a dominating performance with their new roster, including winning Splits 1 and 3. After finishing on top of the circuit points table, Velocity Gaming carried their momentum into the Ascension qualifiers. With an undefeated run in the qualifiers, Velocity Gaming conquered the regional qualifiers to qualify for the Ascension Pacific.
Velocity Gaming Defeated S8UL Esports At The Ascension Qualifiers To Qualify For The VCT Ascension Pacific 2025

From the start of the Ascension qualifiers, Velocity Gaming was the favourite to win the event and qualify for the Ascension. In the qualifiers, Velocity started their journey with a 2-0 win over DOT EXE. Velocity continued to dominate the online phase of the event as they met S8UL in the upper bracket finals. Besides Velocity, S8UL Esports was another potential candidate to represent South Asia at Ascension Pacific. Despite an experienced core, S8UL never managed to defeat Velocity Gaming, and the streak continued in the upper finals.
After a 2-1 defeat, S8UL Esports had one last chance to survive in the race. S8UL Esports met DOT EXE at the offline phase for the best-of-five lower finals. DOT EXE started strong by winning Split, but S8UL fought back in the following three maps. Despite a shaky start, S8UL didn't flinch and suppressed DOT EXE to win the series with a 3-1 score. S8UL shut down DOT EXE with 13-4, 13-3, and 13-8 scorelines on Ascent, Icebox, and Haven, respectively.
S8UL had a chance to plot a perfect revenge against Velocity by defeating them in the finals and crushing their Ascension dreams. Velocity started the series with a 13-10 win on Lotus, but S8UL equalised the scoreline by winning the following map of Ascent with a 13-7 scoreline. When it seemed that the series could go either way, Velocity Gaming charged against S8UL. After winning the final two rounds and equalising the half on the third map of Haven, Velocity went on an eight-round winning streak to win Haven.
S8UL tried hard to push the game to the final map. On Pearl, the penultimate map of the series, S8UL cancelled out Velocity's attempt to secure an early lead, and even managed to grab a two-round lead in the second half. Despite all their efforts, Velocity took down S8UL to win Pearl with a 13-11 scoreline. With that victory, Velocity Gaming won the VCL 2025: South Asia Ascension Qualifiers and qualified for the Ascension Pacific. Velocity Gaming also grabbed Rs. 25,00,000 prize money from the Rs. 50,00,000 prize pool.
Velocity Gaming will fly to Bangkok, Thailand, for the VCT 2025: Pacific Ascension that will kick off on October 13. The tournament will feature the top 10 Pacific teams, who will compete to qualify for the VCT Pacific League 2026.
