Apeks Signs Canadian Star Penny Ahead of VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2

Apeks have officially announced the signing of Canadian Duelist Erik "penny" Penny as they prepare for VCT EMEA Stage 2. This move comes as a replacement for Ava "florescent" Eugene, who parted ways with the team earlier this year. Last month, Apeks also added OLIZERA, a Portuguese Sentinel, to the squad. With Penny's arrival, Apeks have now finalised their roster for Stage 2.
Penny Joins Apeks as florescent's Replacement for VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2
Penny arrives in EMEA after a strong showing with YFP Gaming in North America. He helped the team secure a 4th place finish in NA Challengers Stage 2, putting up a 252.7 ACS across 505 rounds. Briefly, he stood in for Team Liquid during VCT Masters Toronto, where he impressed in a narrow 16–14 victory over Bilibili Gaming on Haven with a 30–18 KD.
Despite his temporary stint with Liquid in Masters Toronto, Penny remained a free agent after the event. Sources indicate that Apeks moved quickly to secure his services once florescent's departure was confirmed. The team has been actively restructuring since a disappointing finish in VCT EMEA Kickoff and Stage 1, where they failed to qualify for the playoffs.
