The group stage of the Valorant Esports World Cup 2025 concluded after three days of intense competition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With the July 10 results, the tournament confirmed the eight teams moving forward to the next round. The 16 teams that reached the Valorant EWC 2025 group stage competed in single-map matches and best-of-three series to determine which rosters would advance in the tournament.

Paper Rex led Group A and became the first team to qualify for the playoffs after going undefeated on day one of the group stage. G2 Esports, missing Nathan "leaf" Orf due to health issues, exited the tournament early after a loss to Bilibili Gaming. Despite their win over the Samurai, the Bilibili couldn't overcome Karmine Corp in the decider match. The French team secured the second ticket to the next round.

BBL Esports and Sentinels advanced from Group B. While the Turkish squad earned a direct spot in the playoffs, the North American team had to battle through the lower bracket, eliminating XLG Esports 2-1 on Day 2 and DRX 2-0 on Thursday to secure the final ticket.


In Group C, NRG dominated the winners' match against Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) with a clean 2-0 victory to secure a spot in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Team Heretics bounced back from a rough start in the Valorant EWC 2025 group stage after dropping their opening match. The European squad claimed the second ticket by eliminating Titán Esports Club and the VCT Pacific Stage 1 champions, with 2-1 and 2-0 wins, respectively.


Fnatic and Gen.G Esports not only won their opening matches but also secured Group D's playoff spots. The VCT EMEA Stage 1 2025 champions earned direct qualification with a 2-0 win in the winners' match over the Korean squad, who then had to fight for the final ticket against EDward Gaming. 100 Thieves couldn't win a single game and was the first team to get eliminated from Group D.


Playoffs Begin July 11: Race to the Title

With the group stage complete, the Valorant Esports World Cup 2025 heads into the playoffs, where eight teams will battle for the championship title, $500,000 USD, and 1,000 Club Points. Action resumes on July 11 with the quarterfinals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Here are the opening matchups for the playoffs.
