The Esports World Cup is finally upon us, with the opening ceremony of the tournament showcasing some of the best esports and chess players from around the world. With the first week of the EWC closing in, the Rennsport R1 2025 Spring Championship came to an end. The reigning champions, Team Redline, defended their throne at EWC 2025.

Team Redline Are The Champions Of Rennsport R1 2025 Spring At EWC 2025

The best esports organisations from around the world compete against each other at EWC 2025 to stand a chance to win from the $70 million prize pool. This year, the Esports World Cup introduced nearly 40 organisations into their club partnership programme. It must be noted that a player doesn't need to be presented by one of the 40 organisations to take part in the EWC.

Before the opening ceremony of the EWC, tournaments for games like MLBB, VALORANT, and Rennsport R1 had begun. The Rennsport R1 2025 Spring tournament was split into 5 phases:

Last Chance Stage
Race-Off
Group Stage
Bracket Stage
Grand Finals

The grand finals consisted of the top 8 teams from the tournament. The Finalist Mode decides the champion of the tournament. A team will need to reach a total of 250 points. Once activated, all they need to do is win the next race and become Champions.

Back in 2024, Team Redline had become the champions of the first Rennsport R1 tournament in the EWC. Following that victory, many wondered if they could become back-to-back champions this year. Since EWC 2024, they have won the 2024 IMSA Esports Global Championship and the 2025 Daytona 24h presented by VCO.

By winning the Rennsport R1 2025 Spring tournament, Team Redline has secured a prize of $200,000. At the end of the Esports World Cup 2025, the organisation that finishes with the highest amount of club points will receive $7,000,000. With this win, they have also provided their organisation with 1000 club points. Below is a list of the standings of the top 8 teams from this tournament:
