After falling to Paper Rex in the Upper Bracket Final, LEVIATÁN returned to the stage with one final opportunity to keep their championship dreams alive. Standing in their way was EDward Gaming, China’s last representative in London and the 2024 VALORANT Champions.

In front of two of the tournament’s most passionate fanbases, LEVIATÁN delivered one of their most convincing performances of the event, defeating EDward Gaming 3-0 and securing a place in the Grand Final. While the scoreline suggests a one-sided affair, EDG pushed back on both Pearl and Split before LEV closed the door on any potential comeback.
Map 1: Haven (LEV 13-5 EDG)
The series opened on Haven, where LEVIATÁN showcased a unique composition featuring Neon on Chamber alongside a double-Duelist setup. EDward Gaming opted for a more traditional composition with Cypher anchoring the defense.
LEV immediately seized momentum after winning the pistol round, and despite dropping the bonus round, they quickly regained control. While Jieni7 managed to produce several impactful post-plant plays to keep EDG competitive early on, LEVIATÁN's defensive setups repeatedly caught the Chinese side off guard.
Neon's aggressive Chamber positioning proved especially effective, helping LEV punish EDG’s attempts to take map control. Round after round, the Americas squad built an overwhelming lead, ending the first half ahead 10-2.
Any hopes of an EDG comeback disappeared after LEVIATÁN secured the second pistol round. With complete control of the economy and momentum, LEV comfortably closed out Haven 13-5 to take the series lead.
Map 2: Pearl (LEV 13-9 EDG)
EDward Gaming’s map pick of Pearl offered a much more competitive contest. Running a Phoenix-Jett double-Duelist composition, EDG looked significantly sharper and managed to establish an early lead during the first half.
Although LEVIATÁN once again secured the pistol round, EDG responded effectively through coordinated site executions and several key individual plays. CHICHOO found important clutch moments, while nobody began finding impact with aggressive entries that helped EDG maintain control.
However, as the half progressed, LEVIATÁN gradually adapted. Their coordinated trading and disciplined mid-round calls began to swing rounds in their favor, preventing EDG from extending their advantage. Even so, the Chinese side entered halftime ahead 7-5.
The second half quickly turned into a back-and-forth battle. Jieni7 delivered a crucial 1v2 clutch to keep EDG narrowly ahead, but LEV continued to pressure every round through superior teamwork. Once the score reached 9-9, momentum shifted entirely.
With kiNgg leading the charge and LEVIATÁN consistently finding favorable trades, the Americas representatives rattled off the final rounds needed to secure a 13-9 victory, moving within one map of the Grand Final.
Map 3: Split (LEV 13-11 EDG)
Facing elimination, EDward Gaming entered Split needing a reverse sweep to keep their tournament alive. Unfortunately for the Chinese side, the familiar trend of pistol-round struggles continued as LEVIATÁN once again opened the map with an early advantage.
LEV’s explosive Phoenix-Neon composition overwhelmed EDG in the opening stages, and a successful bonus-round conversion allowed them to build a commanding lead. While nobody briefly energized EDG with an impressive Bucky round, LEVIATÁN remained firmly in control throughout much of the first half.
Still, EDG refused to go quietly. Led by ZmjjKK’s aggressive Jett play and Smoggy’s impact on Raze, the Chinese champions clawed their way back into the map and trailed only 7-5 at halftime.
The comeback truly came alive after EDG finally secured a pistol round and converted the following bonus. Suddenly, the momentum belonged to China as EDG surged ahead 11-8, seemingly forcing the series toward a fourth map.
That was when LEVIATÁN’s captain stepped up.
With the season on the line, kiNgg produced a series of decisive rounds, combining impactful fragging with confident mid-round leadership. LEV strung together five consecutive rounds to complete the comeback, deny overtime, and close the series 13-11.
LEVIATÁN Set Up Grand Final Rematch
With the victory, LEVIATÁN advance to the first international Grand Final in the organization's history. The Americas squad will now face Paper Rex once again, this time with the Masters London trophy on the line.
For EDward Gaming, the tournament ends with a third-place finish. While falling short of another international final appearance, the Chinese powerhouse once again demonstrated why they remain one of the most consistent teams in global VALORANT.
