The excitement for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025: Masters Toronto has not reduced one bit since the start of the event. All eyes are now on the matches of day 4. The teams that lose their matches today will be eliminated from the VCT 2025: Masters Toronto. Which teams will survive and who will fall? Let's find out in this preview.

VCT 2025: Masters Toronto To Feature The First Elimination Of The Tournament

Wolves Esports go against Team Heretics in their elimination match of the Swiss Stage

Going into the Swiss stage, the goal for all teams was the same. All they need to do is win two matches, and they qualify for the playoffs. If they lose their first two games, then they will face elimination. The second round of the Swiss stage will be the first elimination round of the tournament. All the teams that lost their first match during the tournament will now face off against each other.

The first match is between Team Heretics and Wolves Esports. These two teams have had quite different trajectories within the VALORANT Champions Tour. This tournament is the first international event for Wolves Esports. The team from VCT CN secured a spot after finishing 3rd during VCT CN Stage One. Many couldn't believe this had taken place, as the reigning VALORANT Champions, EDward Gaming, failed to qualify for this tournament.

In their previous match, Wolves Esports only had one good half against Sentinels. Following this, we could see the shift in their mentality. This resulted in the team's morale collapsing and a loss in the match. Against Team Heretics, they are facing off against a team that has proved their mettle multiple times on the international stage. During VALORANT Champions 2024, they were the runners-up of the tournament. With the same core of players, this roster has had its ups and downs, with their recent loss against Paper Rex being one of the shortest matches in the tournament.

Team Heretics will bounce back and secure the win against Wolves Esports with a score of 2-0. The primary reason for this is that Team Heretics is conditioned to the pressure during an international VALORANT Tournament.

MIBR VS Team Liquid!

Team Liquid look strong as nAts rejoins the crew for the do-or-die elimination match.

The second match of the night is between Team Liquid and MIBR. Neither of these teams had the best showing during their first match. There were moments of brilliance, but they only remained as moments and nothing more. Bilibili Gaming shocked the world when they took the first map and the series against Team Liquid. Going into that game, everyone expected it to be an easy win for Team Liquid.

With the return of nAts for this game, Team Liquid is finally at their full strength. On the other hand, it was a one-sided game between Gen G and MIBR. Aspas tried his best to pull his team up, but it simply wasn't enough to secure the victory. During that series, they only won 6 rounds out of the 32 rounds played, which isn't good from their end. MIBR will need to mix things up to stand a chance of staying within the tournament.

With nAts returning to play with Team Liquid, TL are the clear favourites to win this series. If MIBR can create something special, we can see a game three. Team Liquid will secure the win with a scoreline of 2-1.
