After weeks of intense matchups, the group stage of the professional VALORANT season’s biggest event has come to an end. With victories from G2 Esports and MIBR, the playoffs bracket for VALORANT Champions Paris 2025 is set.

September 22 marked the conclusion of the group stage, where the final two playoff spots were secured. Out of the 16 contenders divided across four groups, only eight remain in contention for the world title, an opportunity left wide open following EDward Gaming’s early elimination.

Paper Rex was the first team to secure a playoff berth, advancing directly from Group A after defeating Giantx 2-1 in the upper bracket. The Spanish squad went on to claim the second spot by eliminating XLG Esports. Despite XLG’s upset over Sentinels earlier in the tournament, the Chinese side fell short against the Europeans.

In Group B, Fnatic earned a direct playoff spot with a decisive victory over MIBR on September 18. The Brazilian squad later locked in the second playoff spot by sweeping Rex Regum Qeon 2-0. Meanwhile, RRQ and Bilibili Gaming were eliminated.

NRG dominated Group C from the start, securing two straight wins to qualify directly for the playoffs. DRX battled through the lower bracket to claim the second VCT Pacific spot, eliminating Team Liquid, who had previously eliminated the 2024 champion, EDward Gaming.

From Group D, Team Heretics and G2 Esports rounded out the playoff bracket. With every series ending in a 2-0 sweep, Dragon Ranger Gaming and T1 were eliminated after falling to the representatives of VCT EMEA and VCT Americas, respectively.
