Fnatic Jumps to Global Power Rankings Top 3 With Valorant Champions Paris 2025 Win

The biggest tournament of the Valorant professional season has already begun, and with the first set of matches concluded, some teams have received a boost in their standings. The opening stage of Valorant Champions Paris 2025 started on September 12 with the first clashes that determined the positions ahead of the knockout phase.
The tournament brings together 16 qualified teams in Paris, France, to compete for the most prestigious title of the season. Fnatic secured a solid victory against Rex Regum Qeon on Day 4 with a 2-0 result, climbing from 10th to third place in the Global Power Rankings.
How Fnatic Climbed the Global Power Rankings at Valorant Champions Paris 2025

Fnatic closed out the series against Rex Regum Qeon with a 13-10 win on Ascent and a 13-7 result on Abyss, led by strong performances from Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov and Jake “Boaster” Howlett. With the victory, the black-and-orange squad added 43 points to reach a total of 1,472, moving into the top three of the Global Power Rankings. RRQ, meanwhile, dropped to fourth with 1,471 points.
Fnatic has advanced to the upper bracket of Group B and will face Erick “Aspas” Santos’ MIBR, which defeated Bilibili Gaming 2-0 on Day 4. The Brazilian team proved far superior to the Chinese squad, winning 13-2 on Haven and 13-9 on Corrode. With the loss, Bilibili dropped two spots to sixth place in the Global Power Rankings with 1,449 points.
VCT Pacific Representatives Dominate Opening Matches
As for the VCT Pacific representatives, Rex Regum Qeon was the only team to lose its opening series at Valorant Champions Paris 2025. Paper Rex, DRX, and T1 each secured victories against XLG Esports, Team Liquid, and Dragon Ranger Gaming, respectively, moving within one win of qualifying for the playoffs as the top seed of their groups.
Rex Regum Qeon, meanwhile, will face Bilibili Gaming in a decisive series where the loser will be eliminated from the tournament, ending its competitive season. The group stage of Valorant Champions continues on September 17 with the first upper bracket matchups, which will also determine the first teams advancing to the playoffs.
