VCT 2025: China Stage 2 Playoffs Kicks Off On August 9; Eight Teams To Compete For Champions Slot

As the Group Stage of the VCT 2025: China Stage 2 comes to an end, the tournament has locked its top eight Playoffs teams. The Playoffs will follow a double-elimination format, and the eight teams are seeded based on their Group Stage performance. Xi Lai Gaming and Bilibili Gaming got the higher seed, thanks to their 4-1 record in the Group Stage. The Playoffs will kick off on August 9, and the top two will get to represent China at the VALORANT Champions 2025.
Xi Lai Gaming And Bilibili Gaming Dominated the Group Stage With A 4-1 Record

In the Group Stage, the top eight teams from Group Alpha and Group Omega advanced to the Playoffs. Xi Lai Gaming and Bilibili Gaming continued their dominating streak in the final week of the Group Stage. XLG took down Nova Esports, and Bilibili defeated EDward Gaming with a 2-0 scoreline to secure the top spots.
Wolves Esports, the only Chinese team to get a podium finish at the VCT 2025: Masters Toronto, performed poorly in the Group Stage, resulting in their elimination. Alongside Wolves, JDG Esports, Titan Esports Club, and Nova Esports were also eliminated from Stage 2.
The top six teams from the Group Stage will start their Playoffs journey in the upper bracket, with Xi Lai Gaming and Bilibili Gaming seeded higher, whereas Trace Esports and FunPlus Phoenix will have to make their way through the lower bracket. Throughout the Playoffs, the teams will compete for one of the two VALORANT Champions 2025 slots, along with the circuit points. The circuit points distribution for the Playoffs is as follows.
1st Place: 7 points
2nd Place: 5 points
3rd Place: 4 points
4th Place: 3 points
Even if a team fail to secure a top two finish, they can still qualify for the Champions via circuit points. As of now, EDward Gaming and Xi Lai Gaming are leading the Chinese standings with 13 points each, followed by Bilibili with 12 points, and Wolves Esports with 10 points.
