The group stage ran from July 9 to August 5, featuring both established organizations and rising contenders. Teams battled not only for bragging rights but also crucial circuit points and a shot at the Stage 3 championship title.
Emerging as the frontrunner was FEARX, which posted a 5-2 record and boasted a +44 round diff, showcasing both consistency and firepower. ONSIDE GAMING followed closely with a 5-2 record as well, supported by a balanced team structure and a solid +32 round diff, finishing second overall.
T1 Academy also ended with a 5-2 standing, but settled for third place with a much tighter +5 round diff, underlining how razor-thin the margins were at the top. Rounding out the top six were SLT (4-3, +36), DRX Prospects (4-3, -2), and Gen.G Global Academy (3-4, -28), each advancing based on tiebreaker metrics. Unfortunately, Dplus (1-6, -42) and FN Esports (1-6, -45) failed to keep pace and were eliminated after falling short throughout the stage.
With the group stage concluded, the spotlight now shifts to the double-elimination playoffs, which will run from August 11 to August 22. The top six teams will battle for the Stage 3 title and the lion’s share of circuit points, vital for promotion hopes toward international play. Each match will test not only mechanical skill but also strategic depth, as teams look to adapt quickly in a high-stakes environment.
For academy rosters like T1 Academy, DRX Prospects, and Gen.G Global Academy, it’s a chance to prove they belong among the region’s elite, while for FEARX and ONSIDE Gaming, and SLT, the playoffs represent an opportunity to solidify their dominance and a spot in VCT Ascension 2025. With rising talent, seasoned veterans, and unpredictable matchups ahead, Stage 3’s final chapter promises to deliver thrilling Valorant action as Korea’s Challengers scene continues to heat up.
