Riot Games announced that the finals of VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2 will be held in Tokyo, Japan. Jake Sin, Head of the Pacific League, revealed the news during a press conference for the upcoming VCT Pacific 2025 Kickoff, which begins on January 18.
This marks the second time Japan will host an international tournament organized by Riot Games, following the VCT Masters Tokyo in 2023. While the Pacific League has been based in Korea since its inception, this will be the first time the league finals are hosted outside Korea. The VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2 will run from July to August 2025, culminating in an offline finals event in Tokyo on August 30 and 31.
Interestingly, Tokyo was initially set to host the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024, but Riot Games relocated the event due to logistical challenges at the last moment. Despite the earlier change, Tokyo remains a significant location for Riot's international events, underlining Japan's growing presence in the VALORANT esports scene.
With the finals promising an electrifying conclusion to the league, fans can look forward to world-class competition in the heart of Japan.
