The end of the Swiss Stage of Valorant Masters Toronto is at hand. Day 4 served as the first round of elimination matches in the tournament. With teams playing for survival, a win was crucial. With the return of their IGL nAts, Team Liquid defeated MIBR. On the other hand, Wolves Esports provided one of the biggest upsets of the tournament. Here is what went down during day 4 of Valorant Masters Toronto.
Team Liquid and Wolves Esports Shine on Valorant Masters Toronto Day 4

Everyone playing on day 4 had lost their opening games, adding some pressure as they inched closer to elimination. With the stakes raised, going into this game day, one of the EMEA teams would be eliminated from the event. A somewhat handicapped Team Liquid returned to form on Day 4, as they managed to get nAts back in the driver's seat as the IGL, who missed the first match due to visa issues.
During the series against MIBR, Team Liquid provided one of the most balanced playstyles any team has showcased so far. They were strong in both defence and offence. MIBR only won 13 out of the 39 rounds played, marking a dominant performance for Team Liquid. On both maps, nAts played Viper and stole the show, ending the game with a KDA of 33/27/12. With this loss, MIBR became the first team to be eliminated from the event.
Next on the menu was the series between Team Heretics and Wolves Esports. In our preview, we stated that Wolves Esports needs to tackle the nerves and try something new to pull off the upset, and against Team Heretics, they did both and secured a 2-0 victory.
This was quite the shock, as before this match, Wolves Esports had lost three games in a row, including their run in the EWC Qualifiers for VCT CN. This victory against Team Heretics was a statement by the players in the team that they shouldn’t be doubted. Each of the players had their moments to shine and proved why they deserve to play on the biggest stage.
The same cannot be said about Team Heretics. This loss was quite a blow to what many consider one of the best teams in EMEA. Rumors suggest that we might see changes within their roster either before or after VCT EMEA Stage Two in preparation for Valorant Champions Paris.
The draw for the final fixtures of the Swiss Stage took place, and the fixtures for the upcoming day are:
Bilibili Gaming vs. Wolves Esports
Paper Rex vs. Team Liquid
