T1 edge out Anyone’s Legend 3–2 in a thrilling Worlds 2025 quarterfinal, advancing to the semifinals to face Top Esports as Faker’s squad continues their title defense.

After a somewhat inconsistent Swiss Stage, T1 showed clear improvements in their gameplay, delivering a statement victory over one of the tournament favorites. The quarterfinals concluded on October 31, with Faker’s squad taking down Anyone’s Legend in a best-of-five series.

T1 Overcome Anyone’s Legend in a Closely Contested Five-Game Series

The series was tightly contested from the opening map, with both teams trading early kills and skirmishes. However, T1 managed the macro game more effectively, securing Infernal Soul control early on. Anyone’s Legend attempted to close the gold gap through aggressive picks and objective fights, but this ultimately favored Faker and his team. After securing Baron Nashor and a decisive Elder Dragon ace, T1 claimed the first map.

In Game 2, T1 experimented with unconventional picks such as Anivia for Faker and Draven for Gumayusi. Anyone’s Legend capitalized on these choices, applying early pressure and disrupting T1’s scaling composition. Despite a few comeback attempts from T1, the Chinese squad evened the series in just 32 minutes.

Anyone’s Legend Strike Back to Take the Lead

The third map reflected the series’ intensity once again, as both sides traded early kills across the Rift. T1 gained an early lead through Keria’s Blitzcrank, whose rotations set up multiple pickoffs. However, Anyone’s Legend maintained control over the dragon objectives and, after a crucial fight at Baron Nashor, secured both Elder Dragon and the win to take a 2–1 series lead.

T1 Force a Decider and Secure Semifinal Spot

With their backs against the wall, T1 drafted a comfort-heavy composition featuring Neeko for Keria and Viktor for Faker. Anyone’s Legend tried to respond with counter-picks but fell behind early as T1 executed clean rotations and early skirmishes. Despite a few mid-game errors that allowed the Chinese team to close the gap slightly, T1 closed the game with nearly a 10,000 gold lead, forcing a decisive Game 5.

The final game of the series began explosively, with both teams trading blows from the opening minutes. T1 surprised fans with off-meta picks including Dr. Mundo jungle, Milio for Faker, and Seraphine for Keria. Although Anyone’s Legend gained a few early kills, T1 controlled the map decisively, claiming Hextech Soul before the 25-minute mark.

While the LPL representatives fought back with several won teamfights, a crucial pick on Li “Flandre” Xuan-Jun during the Elder Dragon setup sealed the series for the LCK champions.
