T1 has officially confirmed that Go "Sylvan" Young-sup will no longer compete in the upcoming VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 2. The clarification regarding Sylvan's position in the team was shared by Jun-ho Shin, the team manager of the T1 VALORANT team, via X (former Twitter).

In the statement, Shin wanted to clarify the exclusion of Sylvan from the recent team pictures. Shin shared that the management conducted a series of internal tests, and based on their results, they felt Syvlan might not fit well for the upcoming VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 2. The finalised Valorant lineup is: BuZz, carpe, DH, iZu, Meteor, and stax.

Shin also confirmed that Syvlan was allowed to explore other opportunities, including transferring and competing for another team. Despite that, Syvlan has expressed his desire to stay with the team for the 2025 season and support them from the sidelines.

Although Sylvan will not participate in the remainder of the season or public activities, he will continue to receive basic support as a member of the T1 Valorant team. T1 has apologised for the confusion caused by the roster changes.

We feel heavy-hearted for causing confusion among the fans who have been eagerly awaiting VCT Pacific Stage 2. We will strive to do our best and show an even better performance despite these changes.

T1 received an early exit from the VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1, and they would be looking forward to changing that in Stage 2. VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 2 will kick off from 15 July 2025, and the top two teams of the tournament will receive a slot in the VCT Champions 2025.
