Following a string of successes across various regions, Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić has officially joined FunPlus Phoenix as the head coach. This marks a major move as FPX prepares to compete in VCT China Stage 2 2025.
The announcement was made on June 26 via FPX's official social media handles, where the organisation warmly welcomed LEGIJA and confirmed that he will lead the team through the rest of the 2025 season. The signing of an experienced and proven strategist like LEGIJA is seen as a bold step forward in FPX's rebuilding efforts.
LEGIJA Makes A Comeback In The International League With FunPlus Phoenix

LEGIJA began his coaching career in Valorant in early 2022, following a successful time in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Since then, he has coached several prominent teams, including BLEED Esports. During his time at BLEED, he led the team to win the VCT Ascension Pacific 2023, making them the first Pacific team to ascend to the international league. Despite that, BLEED couldn't continue in the international league as the management failed to comply with critical reporting requirements.
With BLEED Esports' termination from the league, LEGIJA, alongside the players, left the organisation. LEGIJA joined Enterprise Esports as the head coach in January 2025, where the team showed promising results by winning the VALORANT Challengers 2025 NORTH//EAST: Stage 2.

With LEGIJA at the helm, FPX is looking to make a strong comeback in the competitive Chinese Valorant scene. The team aims to leverage his strategic insight and tournament experience to challenge the likes of EDward Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, and Titan Esports Club.
