According to sources, Riot Games is set to host the Spotlight Series in Pacific, following the success of its EMEA edition. This tournament will feature mixed-gender rosters, with teams required to include at least two Game Changers players in their roster, adhering to rules inspired by the marginalized genders circuit. Teams will have the option to decide their roster’s majority, continuing Riot’s efforts to promote inclusivity in competitive VALORANT.

The Spotlight Series Pacific 2024 is scheduled to take place from November 19 to 22, 2024, with confirmed VCT Partner teams including:

  • Paper Rex

  • DRX

  • ZETA DIVISION

  • Global Esports

The event will bring together VCT and Game Changers players, offering a platform for both established teams and rising talent to compete. Riot Games’ focus on gender diversity aims to create more opportunities for players of all backgrounds in the competitive scene.

The Game Changers initiative was created to empower women and non-binary players, offering them a dedicated, supportive environment to compete and develop their skills. Introducing mixed-gender tournaments like the Spotlight Series is a natural evolution of this initiative, furthering Riot’s commitment to building a more inclusive and diverse esports ecosystem.

Further details on the event format and broadcast will be released soon, but the Spotlight Series is already shaping up to be an exciting addition to the competitive calendar.
