Indian esports organization Gods Reign has officially parted ways with its Counter-Strike 2 roster, ending a notable run that began with their entry into the scene at the Skyesports Masters 2023. The announcement follows Dust2 India’s earlier report and comes at a time when several players were already exploring other opportunities.

Gods Reign’s debut was marked by immediate success as they won the Skyesports Masters 2023, establishing themselves as a top contender in the domestic circuit. Over the next year, the team maintained their status as India’s highest-ranked roster, earning invites to multiple Asian tournaments through strong performances and the VRS ranking system.
Their near qualification for the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Asia RMR stood out as a high point, where they finished just one series away from a Major slot. While they found some success in domestic qualifiers and online events, international consistency remained elusive. They qualified for the main event of the Skyesports Masters 2024 and took on teams like NIP and BIG, but failed to convert it into deeper runs.
The team finally lifted a LAN trophy after more than a year by winning the Skyesports Souvenir National Championship 2025. However, their last appearance at the Hero Esports Asian Champions League Closed Qualifier ended in disappointment, crashing out in 13th–16th place after losses to unranked teams.
While Rossi has announced his retirement and Ph1NNN is seeking international offers, the remaining players Bhavi, R2B2, and f1redup are now free agents looking for a new home.
