The Demacia Cup 2026 Global Invitational will bring together 12 teams from six major League of Legends regions for a cross-regional tournament in China, and it begins this Friday, October 3.
Organised by TJ Sports and Huya, the event runs from October 3 to October 17, 2026, featuring an online Swiss Stage before moving to an offline Knockout Stage at the Xi'an Qujiang eSports Center. With teams from the LPL, LCK, LEC, LCS, LCP, and CBLOL competing, the Demacia Cup 2026 Global Invitational offers an international matchup pool that looks very different from the standard Worlds and MSI lineup. Every team here is one that missed the 2026 World Championship, making this their final opportunity to prove themselves on an international stage this year.

Demacia Cup 2026 Global Invitational: Tournament Format
Swiss Stage (Online, October 3 to 10)
The tournament opens with a four-round Swiss Stage. Round 1 matches are played as Best-of-One, with all subsequent rounds from Round 2 onward played as Best-of-Three. Teams accumulate wins and losses across the four rounds, with eight teams advancing to the offline Knockout Stage and four being eliminated.
Fearless Draft is active from Round 2 of the Swiss Stage through the entire Knockout Stage. Under Fearless Draft rules, a champion cannot be picked more than once within the same series, forcing teams to manage their champion pools carefully and prepare multiple compositions across longer series.
Knockout Stage (Offline, October 12 to 15, Grand Final October 17)
The eight surviving teams travel to the Xi'an Qujiang eSports Center for a single-elimination bracket where every series is played as a Best-of-Five. One loss and the tournament is over.
Coach Comms will be enabled throughout the offline stage, including the Grand Final. Each team can activate Coach Comms up to three times per game, with each activation lasting 45 seconds. The game will not be paused during activations, and unused activations do not carry over between games.

1st place: ¥600,000 (approximately $88,000 USD)
