The road to the Esports World Cup 2026 VALORANT tournament is complete. Following weeks of regional competition across VCT Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China, the full 16-team lineup heading to Paris has been locked in.
With qualification tournaments concluding alongside the end of Stage 1 competition worldwide, the Esports World Cup is set to welcome some of the biggest names in VALORANT for one of the year's most prestigious international events.

It's worth noting that the event was originally planned to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but was relocated to Paris, France on May 20 following disruptions to international air travel in the Middle East. The VALORANT tournament will take place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles — the same venue hosting the broader EWC 2026 festival, which runs from July 6 to August 23 across 24 games and 25 tournaments with a combined prize pool exceeding $75 million.
Team Heretics Return as Defending Champions
After capturing the inaugural Esports World Cup 2026 VALORANT title in 2025, Team Heretics will return to the tournament as defending champions. Their victory last year — secured through a stunning reverse sweep against Fnatic in the Grand Final — granted them an automatic invitation to the 2026 edition, making them the first team to qualify.
The Spanish organisation will look to become the first repeat champion in EWC VALORANT history when the competition begins this July in Paris.
