The road to the 2026 LCP season has officially been paved as Deep Cross Gaming (DCG) and MGN Vikings Esports (MVKE) emerge victorious in the LCP 2026 Promotion. The event, held at the LCP Arena in Taipei, brought together guest contenders and regional hopefuls in a tense series of best-of-five matches that determined who would advance to the top flight the following year.
The Promotion event featured two distinct paths: the Free-for-All (FFA) bracket for guest teams and the Regional Merit bracket for domestic representatives fighting to retain their spots. Here's how it went down.
Free-for-All Stage Recap: Deep Cross Gaming Dominates the Field

The Free-for-All stage showcased guest teams from outside the LCP region battling for a single promotion slot. In a gauntlet of intense matches, Deep Cross Gaming (DCG) quickly established itself as the frontrunner.
After sweeping QT DIG 3-0 in the quarterfinals, DCG continued their momentum with another clean 3-0 victory over Inferno Esports from the Philippines in the semifinals. Their final challenge came against Chiefs Esports Club, a seasoned Oceanic squad determined to reclaim a place in the LCP.
Despite CHF's best efforts, DCG’s calculated team fighting and disciplined macro strategy secured them a 3-1 win in the Grand Final, booking their ticket to LCP 2026.
Star mid-laner HongSuo shone as the standout player of the tournament, while Feng impressed with clutch performances throughout the bracket. Notably, XiaoXiang stepped in for HongSuo during Game 3 of the semifinals due to roster adjustments, a change that did little to slow DCG’s dominant run.
Regional Merit: MGN Vikings Take Down Saigon Dino to Secure LCP Spot
The Regional Merit showdown brought local pride representing Vietnam’s VCS scene, as MGN Vikings Esports faced off against Saigon Dino in a decisive best-of-five for LCP qualification.
What followed was one of the most intense series of events. Both teams came out swinging with aggressive early-game setups and fearless skirmishing, but it was the Vikings who maintained composure when it mattered most.
With superior mid-game coordination and sharper teamfights, MGN Vikings Esports closed out the series 3-1, locking in their place in LCP 2026. Saigon Dino, despite showing promise in the early maps, will return to their domestic circuit next season
The series also saw several roster adjustments for Saigon Dino. YuSah and Aomine were unable to attend due to visa issues, leading AisyL to step in as the substitute ADC, though he later faced the same travel complications. To stabilize the lineup, Samver, on loan from REJECT, joined on October 4 as a temporary bot laner, providing crucial consistency in the match.
The conclusion of the Promotion tournament cements Deep Cross Gaming and MGN Vikings Esports as the LCP 2026 roster, adding fresh competition to an already stacked league.
DCG’s near-flawless form through the FFA bracket signals the rise of a formidable contender from the guest regions, while MVKE’s resilience in the Regional Merit match demonstrates the growing strength of VCS representation within the Pacific ecosystem.
