The action continues at the biggest event of the League of Legends competitive season with a shocking upset for the reigning champions. CTBC Flying Oyster delivered a crucial victory against T1, keeping their undefeated record intact in the Worlds 2025 Swiss Stage.

After eliminating Invictus Gaming, T1 secured a clean win over FlyQuest. Their next opponent was CTBC Flying Oyster, who had already taken down Fnatic in their opening Swiss match. While many expected an easy win for Faker’s squad, the LPC champions put on an impressive performance to claim the point.

CTBC Flying Oyster Dominates T1 from the Draft

From the draft phase, CTBC Flying Oyster made their intentions clear with an aggressive composition, locking in Draven for Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan. Despite giving Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong his signature Caitlyn—a champion on which the Korean ADC has shined multiple times—T1 struggled to match the pace.

The LPC representatives executed an early lane swap to build a gold lead, with Doggo even claiming first blood against Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon.

CTBC Flying Oyster continued to pressure around neutral objectives, forcing T1 into awkward fights that only widened the gold gap. The LCK squad attempted to regain control through aggressive plays aimed at shutting down Doggo, but the Draven stayed composed, consistently dodging Doran’s Rek’Sai engages and maintaining full control of the map.

T1 made a desperate attempt to stop Baron Nashor, but Yu "JunJia" Chun-Chia found the perfect opportunity to catch Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and Gumayusi, securing the buff for his team. With over 15,000 gold in their favor and Chemtech Soul under their control, the LPC champions closed out the game, extending their winning streak.

CTBC Flying Oyster One Step Away from the Knockout Stage

CTBC Flying Oyster moves into the 2-0 pool, just one win away from advancing to the Knockout Stage of Worlds 2025. Their next challenge will be Anyone’s Legend in a best-of-three series, with the winner qualifying for the next stage. The Chinese squad has also shown strong performances so far, setting up an exciting and even matchup on paper.

The Swiss Stage of Worlds 2025 continues on October 17 with the first best-of-three matches, which will determine the initial teams advancing to the Knockout Stage. The schedule features KT Rolster vs. Top Esports, followed by CTBC Flying Oyster vs. Anyone’s Legend to close out the day.

All matches will be broadcast live on the official LoL Esports channels on YouTube and Twitch, with exclusive rewards available through LoLEsports.com.
