The professional Valorant scene in the Asia-Pacific region is preparing for its final clashes of the season at the region’s premier tournament. Yet, the event that will determine the league’s representatives at Valorant Champions Paris 2025 may not feature full rosters. The finalists of VCT Pacific Stage 2 have reported that their lineups could be incomplete for the tournament in Chiba, Japan, due to visa issues.

The VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals will take place at the LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY in Chiba, Japan. However, Paper Rex (PRX) and Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) have announced that visa issues are affecting some of their players. The Masters Toronto champion secured a direct spot in the grand final but may be without Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza.

Paper Rex's head coach Alexandre “Alecks” Sallé said in a press conference that PatMen has yet to receive his Schengen visa, which is required for him to travel to Paris for Valorant Champions. As a result, the player may be stuck in Seoul, as he cannot leave the country while the application is pending.

Even PatMen joked on social media after Paper Rex secured a spot in the grand final with a win against TALON on August 17. For now, PRX does not have an official substitute on its roster, leading some fans to hope for the return of Patiphan “CigaretteS” Posri, who is set to appear in a showmatch during the event in Japan.

Visa problems Cast Doubt on RRQ Ahead of Lower Bracket Final

In Rex Regum Qeon’s case, CEO Andrian Pauline said during a livestream on his social channels that the team had already arrived in Japan, but it would be difficult to compete with the full roster due to visa problems. However, he did not disclose which player has yet to receive travel clearance.

RRQ will face TALON in the lower bracket final in a best-of-five series on August 30. The winner will secure a direct spot at VALORANT Champions Paris 2025 and advance to meet Paper Rex in the VCT Pacific Stage 2 grand final. All matches will be streamed live on the league’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
