Sharper Esports came back from halftime deficits on both maps to beat Jade Lions 2-0 in the upper final, while 555 swept aside a passive Fancy United side to move into the lower final. The July 3 playoff day effectively set the final shape of the VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 2 2026 bracket — and both series told very different stories.

Sharper Esports and 555 both won on July 3 in the VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 2 2026 Playoffs — Sharper surviving two halftime deficits against Jade Lions, while 555 dismantled Fancy United in straight maps.

Sharper survived one of their toughest tests of the tournament by overturning halftime deficits twice, relying on composure and late-map execution to deny Jade Lions. 555, by contrast, controlled their lower-bracket series from the opening rounds and exposed a Fancy United side that never translated their compositions into real pressure on the server.

Sharper Esports 2-0 Jade Lions — Sharper Survive Two Scares to Reach the VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 2 2026 Grand Final

Map 1 — Pearl: Sharper Esports 13-10 Jade Lions

Map 2 — Split: Sharper Esports 14-12 Jade Lions

The upper final was far closer than the 2-0 scoreline suggests. Jade Lions built 8-4 halftime leads on both Pearl and Split, repeatedly putting Sharper under pressure and giving themselves a genuine chance to force a decider. What ultimately separated the two teams was Sharper's ability to adjust after the break and execute more cleanly when it mattered most.

On Pearl, Jade looked like the stronger side for most of the first half. Nexi and Wild0reo0 both finished with 19 kills, with Georgyyyy adding 16 kills and 15 assists as Jade controlled the pace and built an 8-4 lead. Sharper had no answer in the first half — but the map turned completely after the side swap.

Sharper tightened up in mid-round, punished Jade's mistakes far more effectively, and stormed back from 4-8 to win nine of the final 11 rounds for a 13-10 victory. NIZ was the standout on the opener with 23 kills and 269 ACS, while Apinya added 20/14/8 to stabilise Sharper's comeback and flip the momentum of the series.

Split followed a near-identical script. Jade again entered halftime ahead at 8-4, this time with Georgyyyy on 22 kills and 2GE adding 20 — a position that should have been enough to push the series to a decider. Instead, Sharper produced a second-half comeback, grinding their way back and forcing overtime at 12-12.

From there, the map belonged to Apinya. The standout performance of the day: 34 kills, 18 deaths, 327 ACS, and a +16 differential, powering Sharper through overtime and into the grand final with a 14-12 win. It was the clearest individual symbol of Sharper's ability to thrive when the match becomes uncomfortable.

For Jade Lions, the defeat will sting. Halftime leads on both maps should have been enough to at least push Sharper to a third map — they had the scoreboard position twice and couldn't hold it. Sharper, meanwhile, leave the series looking every bit like the team to beat in the tournament — not because they dominated, but because they proved they can survive.

555 2-0 Fancy United Esports — 555 Punish Passive Setups to Reach the Lower Final

Map 1 — Fracture: 555 13-6 Fancy United Esports

Map 2 — Lotus: 555 13-9 Fancy United Esports

If the upper final was defined by comebacks and narrow margins, the lower-bracket meeting between 555 and Fancy United was shaped by control. 555 closed out the series in two maps — taking Fracture 13-6 before following up with a 13-9 win on Lotus — eliminating Fancy United and keeping their own title hopes alive.

Fracture — 555 Break It Open With a Dominant Attacking Half

The opening map quickly tilted in 555's favour thanks to a commanding start on attack. After splitting the first four rounds evenly, 555 took control by stringing together a long run of attacking success, repeatedly breaking through Fancy's setups and forcing the Vietnamese side onto the back foot. By halftime, 555 held an 8-4 lead that fairly reflected how comfortably they had managed the map's middle stretch. endoist was the standout performer of the opener — 20 kills, 301 ACS, and a +7 differential, consistently finding opening picks and punishing Fancy in retake situations. He was backed up well across the board, with aLerT and doffy both posting 14 kills and Surf adding 12, giving 555 a balanced fragging spread rather than a one-man carry show.

For Fancy, the issue was less a total lack of resistance and more an inability to hold the map together once 555 found their rhythm. bucute top-fragged with 13 kills and f1cio contributed 12, but Fancy never found enough defensive stability to stop the momentum bleeding away. Too many rounds ended with 555 taking early space and converting it into site control before Fancy could organise a retake.

Any hope of a second-half comeback was shut down quickly. 555 stayed composed in the late stages and closed Fracture 13-6 — a convincing start built on a strong attacking half and consistent impact across the roster.

Lotus — Closer, But 555 Close the Door When It Counts

Lotus was a tighter contest and, for stretches, looked like Fancy's best chance to drag the series to a third map. Unlike Fracture, where 555 largely controlled the tempo throughout, this map stayed more competitive early. Still, 555 edged the opening side 6-3, once again putting Fancy in a position where there was very little room for error after the break.

Fancy came out with more individual output to keep themselves in it. f1cio led the way with 20 kills, 273 ACS, and 10 assists, while twilight added 18 kills and bucute posted 17. Those numbers gave Fancy a stronger foothold than Fracture had offered, and helped keep the map within reach heading into the latter stages.

But while Fancy's fragging improved, 555 still looked like the more complete side when the map reached its decisive rounds. aLerT turned in one of his best maps of the series with 18 kills and 14 assists, while endoist and canady both finished on 19 kills to keep 555's offence and retakes stable. When Fancy found openings, 555 were generally quicker to recover, cleaner in the trade game, and more reliable at converting man-advantage situations into round wins.

That difference became decisive in the second half. Fancy produced more resistance than they had on Fracture, but they never truly seized control of the map — and 555 continued to find the rounds they needed to stay ahead, closing out Lotus 13-9 and sealing the 2-0.

For Fancy United, the defeat was particularly disappointing given that several of their players had also represented Vietnam at the Esports Nations Cup 2026 — a team carrying real regional expectation. In the end, their split came to an end just short of the final weekend.
