On November 29th, Team Liquid, the Dutch esports organization, announced the addition of three new players to their VALORANT roster — kamo, PaTiTek, and Kamyk.

This season, Team Liquid struggled in the EMEA League, finishing in 8th place with a 4-6 record. This marked the end of their streak of qualifying for the world championships, which had been ongoing since 2021. Despite acquiring three players from Apeks in the hopes of strengthening the team, the changes didn’t pay off, and as a result, Mistic, Enzo, and Jamppi parted ways.

kamo has been a standout duelist for KOI this season. While KOI finished at the bottom of the EMEA standings, kamo shone individually with an impressive ACS of 249.6 during Stage 2. He was previously under scrutiny for discriminatory comments made when he was 16, but Team Liquid’s owner has confirmed their full support for kamo, given that he has since apologized for his past actions. With kamo joining, it appears Keiko will shift from his duelist role to play controller.

PaTiTek had a more unusual journey this year, playing as a substitute for Team Heretics. With Miniboo stepping back for academic reasons, PaTiTek filled in as an initiator, helping the team to a second-place finish at Masters Shanghai. His performance, with an ACS of 198.6, earned him significant praise, and now he returns to the Tier 1 stage with Team Liquid as a starter.

Kamyk had a brief stint as a substitute for FNATIC in 2023. When Alfajer was absent due to visa issues, Kamyk stepped up to the plate and gained invaluable experience in the EMEA. He also played a role in Joblife’s Split 2 victory in the Challengers France.

The team has also made changes to its coaching staff. LohaN, who was the head coach for Joblife, is becoming Team Liquid's head coach. Meanwhile, yaotziN, who previously led SK Gaming as a head coach and was an analyst for Sentinels during Champions, will join as an assistant coach.

Team Liquid’s new lineup will debut in the "Monsters Reloaded 2024" OFF//SEASON tournament, which begins later today. The said LAN event will feature the participating teams that finished closer to the bottom of the regular season EMEA standings and who are now looking to have great performances in the new post-season, with Liquid drawn against GIANTX, first up, in what some would call a crucial encounter-a potential tone-setter for most of the upcoming season in fact.

Team Liquid’s roster is now:

  • 🇷🇺 nAts (IGL)

  • 🇬🇧 Keiko

  • 🇵🇱 kamo

  • 🇵🇱 Kamyk

  • 🇵🇱 PaTiTek

  • 🇩🇪 Harmii (Substitute)
