T1 Wins Worlds 2025 to Claim Their Sixth Championship
The most prestigious event in competitive League of Legends concluded with the two best teams of the season battling for the Summoner’s Cup. T1, led by Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, successfully defended their title and claimed their sixth World Championship after defeating KT Rolster 3–2 in the Worlds 2025 Grand Final.

Since October 14, the 16 qualified teams gathered in China to compete for the world title. After a long journey marked by moments of brilliance and adversity, T1 reached the grand final in pursuit of their sixth championship, while KT Rolster emerged as one of the biggest surprises, advancing to the final day without losing a single match.
T1 Take the Lead in Game 1 of the Worlds 2025 Final
KT Rolster opened Game 1 with coordinated early plays, securing control over the first objectives and stacking dragons. However, T1 turned the momentum by finding critical pickoffs on Kim “Deokdam” Dae-gil, enabling them to overturn the early gold deficit. After securing Baron Nashor, T1 closed out the game and took a 1–0 lead in the series.
KT Rolster Challenge T1 in a Back-and-Forth Series
Game 2 stayed close in the early stages with both teams trading kills around objectives. KT Rolster demonstrated stronger map control, securing Baron and using the buff to pressure all lanes. T1 attempted a risky engage on Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan, but the play backfired, allowing KT to close out the game after 42 minutes with nearly a 10,000-gold lead.
In Game 3, despite both teams drafting scaling compositions, the match featured constant skirmishes in the side lanes. KT Rolster executed their win conditions better during a crucial dragon fight, securing both the drake and the Atakhan buff, giving them firm control of the map. Cuzz’s Dr. Mundo proved unkillable, leading KT Rolster to a 2–1 series lead.
T1 Force Silver Scrapes
On the brink of losing their title, T1 responded in Game 4 with clean map control, securing early objectives and stabilizing the game state. Although KT Rolster maintained a slight kill lead, T1’s composition scaled better, and once they secured both Soul and Baron Nashor, the match shifted completely in their favor. Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong sealed the game with a quadra kill, sending the finals to a decisive Game 5.
T1 Forces Game 5 to Set Up a Historic Finish
T1 came into Game 5 aggressively, repeatedly picking off Lee “PerfecT” Seung-min to establish early pressure. KT Rolster held on through strong teamfighting and stall tactics, allowing Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong’s Smolder time to scale. However, T1 maintained map control throughout the mid-game. Despite a few misplays that extended the match, a decisive final fight in KT’s jungle secured T1’s win and their sixth World Championship title.
Faker Secures His Sixth World Title
With this victory, Faker captures his sixth world title, marking his third consecutive championship alongside Oner, Gumayusi, and Keria. Meanwhile, Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon celebrates his first World Championship, completing a season in which he replaced Zeus and became a crucial piece of T1’s success.
With this win, T1 further extend their legacy as the most successful organization in League of Legends history, solidifying their position as the undisputed kings of the esport.
