The VALORANT Challengers 2025 Japan: Season Finals came to a thrilling close at Keio Arena TOKYO, where RIDDLE ORDER emerged victorious to claim the national title. The Season Finals brought together four of Japan’s top contenders: RIDDLE ORDER, FENNEL, NOEZ FOXX, and REJECT. Competing in a double-elimination bracket, the teams fought not only for a share of the ¥4,800,000 prize pool (~$32,660 USD) but also for the coveted Ascension spot.

The opening round set the tone for the weekend, as RIDDLE ORDER swept REJECT 2–0, while FENNEL delivered a clean 2–0 over NOEZ FOXX. In the Upper Bracket Final, RIDDLE ORDER edged past FENNEL 2–1, punching their ticket directly to the Grand Final. FENNEL, however, fought their way back by eliminating NOEZ FOXX in the Lower Bracket Final, setting up a highly anticipated rematch.

Grand Final Showdown: RIDDLE ORDER Took On FENNEL In The BO5 Finale

The Grand Final between RIDDLE ORDER and FENNEL was a spectacle of momentum swings and high-pressure plays. In the opening map, Corrode, RIDDLE ORDER came out firing on all cylinders, dominating with a 13-8 victory to set the tone.

However, FENNEL struck back on Sunset, displaying crisp executions and solid defence to equalise the series with a convincing 13-4 win. With the score tied 1–1, the pressure mounted as both teams eyed the championship. On Icebox, RIDDLE ORDER regained control, showcasing disciplined utility usage and sharp aim to dismantle FENNEL’s setups. They secured the map 13-7, putting themselves one step away from the title.

The decisive moment came on Bind, where RIDDLE ORDER’s aggression and coordinated site hits proved too much for FENNEL to handle. Closing the map 13-8, RIDDLE ORDER sealed the series 3-1, back-to-back, lifting the trophy and booking their ticket to VCT Ascension Pacific 2025.

What’s Next for RIDDLE ORDER at Ascension Pacific 2025

With their victory in Keio Arena, Tokyo, RIDDLE ORDER will now represent Japan at the VCT Ascension Pacific 2025, set to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 13 to 26. The event will gather the strongest Challengers teams from across Asia-Pacific, all competing for one prestigious prize: promotion into the VCT Pacific League 2026.

Ascension 2025 will be RIDDLE’s second appearance at Ascension Pacific, after their debut in 2024, where they finished in 4th place. That experience gave them valuable lessons about the international stage, and this time, they will try to redeem themselves.
