Rex Regum Qeon Parts Ways with Estrella

Rex Regum Qeon has parted ways with Park "Estrella" Gun (박건), ending his tenure as the team’s in-game leader.

The decision comes after Estrella was reportedly trialing for Gen.G Esports, a move that didn’t sit well with RRQ. Sources indicate the organization wasn’t pleased with the situation and decided to make a change, replacing him with recently signed IGL crazyguy.

Estrella joined RRQ at the start of 2024, marking his first stint outside of a Korean roster. Under his leadership, RRQ posted a 6-4 record in league play but fell short of a Stage 1 playoff berth. Their Stage 2 playoff run was also brief, prolonging the team’s wait for an international appearance. Despite flashes of promise, including wins over Gen.G and DRX, RRQ struggled to break into the Pacific region’s top tier.

Before joining RRQ, Estrella was regarded as one of Korea’s top IGLs. He played a key role in Dplus Esports' dominant 2023 campaign, which saw them win both VCL Korea splits and reach Pacific Ascension. His career also includes stints with DAMWON Gaming, Incheon On Sla2ers, and F4Q, dating back to his debut with Desperado in 2022. Known for his proficiency on Initiators, he delivered some of his best performances on Breach and KAY/O.

With crazyguy now leading the charge, RRQ’s roster is as follows:

  • 🇮🇩 Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha

  • 🇮🇩 David "xffero" Monangin

  • 🇷🇺 Maksim "Jemkin" Batorov

  • 🇮🇩 Bryan "Kushy" Carlos Setiawan

  • 🇻🇳 Ngô "crazyguy" Công Anh

  • 🇿🇦 Marthinus "Ewok" Jacobus Van Der Walt (Head Coach)

  • 🇺🇸 Evan "Warbirds" Olzem (Assistant Coach)

  • 🇸🇬 Rebecca "Rebecca" Wong (Performance Coach)
