After back-to-back action, the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 semifinals are done, and the bracket is down to its last matches. Two teams are headed to the grand final, which is a best-of-five. The other two will meet in a best-of-three for third place.

The Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 event brought 16 of the world’s elite teams to Bucharest, and the semifinals delivered a three-map thriller and a clean sweep. Here is how both matches played out and what is left to play.

PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 Semifinals Overview

Two best-of-three matches decided who reached the grand final. FURIA and Nemiga won their series and will play the best-of-five grand final for the Bucharest title.

Team Vitality and MOUZ lost theirs and will meet in a best-of-three for third place. Both semifinals were played on the same day, which kept the pressure high from start to finish.

PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 Playoffs Semifinals Recap

MOUZ 1-2 FURIA

FURIA beat MOUZ 2-1 in a tight semifinal and booked a grand final against Nemiga. It is their second consecutive grand final, and it comes fresh off their Thunderpick World Championship title in Malta, less than two weeks ago. A win in Bucharest would add another trophy for FalleN.

The series opened on Dust2, and FURIA took it 13-6. They grabbed an early lead, then MOUZ answered back once they built up their economy, which drew some comments from YEKINDAR. The half ended 6-6, but FURIA then accelerated behind Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and Yuri “yuurih” Santos and won the second half 7-0.

Mirage went to MOUZ, 13-9. Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato lit up the pistol round with a 4K and powered FURIA to an 8-4 first-half lead, with PR as the lone bright spot for MOUZ. After the side switch, MOUZ flipped everything on defense and strung together a dominant 7-0 run. YEKINDAR and KSCERATO pushed late, but it was not enough to stop MOUZ from holding on.

Cache decided it. FURIA grabbed an 8-4 lead in the first half of the decider. Second-half nerves and some traded anti-eco rounds made it uncomfortable, but back-to-back round wins sealed the series 2-1.

molodoy led the series with a 1.24 rating, including ratings above 1.80 on Dust2 and Cache. KSCERATO and YEKINDAR backed him up heavily. The final will carry a friendly edge for him, since he now faces his friends on Nemiga, syph0 and khaN.

NEMIGA 2-0 TEAM VITALITY

Nemiga stunned Team Vitality 2-0 to reach the grand final, ending Vitality’s run for the title.

On Cache, Nemiga won 13-8. They raced to a 7-1 lead before Vitality clawed back four rounds to make it 7-5 at the half, but Nemiga took control after the switch and won the second half 6-3.

Dust2 was much tighter and ended 13-11. Vitality built an 8-4 lead in the first half, but Nemiga came out after the break and tied it at 10-10, then swept the final rounds. The second half went 9-3 in their favor.

Nikita “robo” Dushin, the Nemiga IGL, led from the front with 46 kills, 101 ADR, and a 1.52 rating across the series. On Vitality’s side, William “mezii” Merriman stepped in as acting IGL in the absence of Dan “apEX” Madesclaire. He had a rough start on Cache with 3 frags and 49.6 ADR, then bounced back on Dust2 with 22 kills and a map-leading 1.60 rating. Playing with an adjusted leadership structure, Vitality could not force a decider on Mirage.

The win also moved Nemiga up the rankings. They gained 56 points, climbing from 12th to 10th in the live VRS standings and entering the global top 10 with 1,645 points. That is 153 points more than where they started when the event opened.
