The premier tournament of professional VALORANT in the Asia-Pacific region came to an end on August 31 with the crowning of a new champion. Paper Rex(PRX) stayed at the top of the standings and defeated Rex Regum Qeon(RRQ) 3-1 in the grand final of VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2.

The Stage 2 finals of VCT Pacific took place at the LaLa Arena Tokyo-Bay in Japan, bringing together the qualified teams. Despite visa issues, all rosters were complete. RRQ, coming off a 3-2 comeback against TALON in the Lower Bracket Final, could not match a Paper Rex side that was the most dominant team of the split, securing direct qualification to VALORANT Champions Paris 2025.

The series began on Bind, where Paper Rex controlled its map pick with an aggressive attack, taking the first half with a 9-3 lead. After the side switch, PRX kept its momentum, and while Rex Regum Qeon managed to close the gap with Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha stepping up for his team, it was not enough as they fell 13-8.

Although Ascent was Rex Regum Qeon’s map pick, Paper Rex completely dominated the first half with Jason “F0rsakeN” Susanto and Ilia “Something” Petrov unstoppable. On defence, Rex Regum Qeon rallied with six straight rounds behind Bryan “Kushy” Setiawan and Maxim “Jemkin” Batorov, but Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie secured the victory for PRX, putting them 2-0 ahead in the series with a 13-7 score.

On the brink of elimination, Rex Regum Qeon looked stronger on Paper Rex’s map pick, keeping the first half close and going into the side switch with the score tied. On defence, RRQ shut down their opponent completely, with Monyet and Jemkin leading the way to secure their team’s first win of the series, 13-6.
