MIBR Parts Ways with nzr After Short Stint

MADE IN BRAZIL has moved on from Agustin "nzr" Ibarra, allowing the Argentine player to explore opportunities elsewhere while still under contract. The decision comes after just a few months with the team, as MIBR looks ahead to Stage 1 of the VCT Americas League.

nzr joined MIBR in November 2024 as the team's in-game leader (IGL), reuniting with former teammate aspas after their short-lived stint on LEVIATÁN earlier that year. However, history repeated itself, as the duo once again failed to find long-term success together.

Despite the brief tenure, nzr contributed to MIBR’s offseason efforts, playing for their Game Changers squad at the Americas Spotlight Series and helping the main roster secure a second-place finish at the Tixinha Invitational.

MIBR's revamped roster delivered the organization’s best-ever performance in the Americas League, securing a third-place finish at Kickoff after a remarkable lower-bracket run. The team fell just one match short of qualifying for Masters Bangkok.

However, their tournament began on a rough note with a heavy opening loss, prompting a mid-event leadership change. nzr was relieved of IGL duties, with artzin taking over as the team’s shot-caller for the remainder of the event.

Following his benching, nzr shared a message thanking his teammates as he begins exploring new opportunities. Meanwhile, MIBR must now find a replacement for their initiator before VCT Americas Stage 1 kicks off on March 21.

After this change, MIBR’s Current Roster is:

  • 🇧🇷 Arthur "artzin" Araujo

  • 🇧🇷 Eduardo "xenom" Soeiro

  • 🇧🇷 Gabriel "cortezia" Cortez

  • 🇧🇷 Erick "aspas" Santos

  • 🇺🇸 Daniel "fRoD" Montaner (Head Coach)

  • 🇧🇷 Iara "Iara" Rodrigo (Analyst)
