With the success of the Marvel Rivals Championship season 0 and season 1, Marvel Games announced the launch of Marvel Rivals Ignite—a 6-month-long tournament with a prize pool of over $3 million. Similar to the Marvel Rival Championship, the Ignite series is split into five regions. Stage One of each region is currently underway. In the EMEA Region, the group stage just concluded. The top 4 teams from each group qualify for the playoffs stage. Here is everything that went down during Marvel Rivals Ignite EMEA Stage 1 Group Stage.
What Is Marvel Rivals Ignite EMEA Stage 1?

The Marvel Rivals Ignite is one of the biggest tournaments within Marvel Rivals Esports, with the total prize pool of the tournament being $3 million. The grand finals of the event feature a prize pool of $1 million. The tournament will take place from May to November 2025. Below is the flow of the tournament:

Mid-Season Finals (July)
Ignite Stage Two (August- October)
Grand Finals (November)
For Marvel Rivals Ignite EMEA, Stage 1 teams will be invited based on their previous performances during Marvel Rivals Invitational and Marvel Rivals Championships. Teams can also qualify for the event through in-game qualifiers.

Marvel Rivals Ignite EMEA Stage 1 Group Stage: Virtus.pro continues their run of dominance!

The format for the group stage of Marvel Rivals Ignite EMEA Stage 1 was unique. Instead of a round robin format, each group of 8 teams played in a double-bracket format. The top 4 teams from each group would then qualify for the playoffs.
Group A was filled with multiple upsets, with teams like OG Seed and ZERO.PERCENT failing to qualify in the top 4. Within the group, the grand finals were played between Zero Tenacity and Brr Brr Patapim. The match went to the decider map between the two teams. Following Map 5, Zero Tenacity secured the win, finishing first in group A
Within group B, Virtus.pro continued their run of dominance. They didn’t have a flawless run in the group stage. They had a surprise loss against Rad EU, an underdog team. In the lower bracket, Virtus.pro dominated each team they faced and secured a spot in the grand finals. During this, they faced off against Rad EU. This match was a one-sided affair with Virtus.pro getting their revenge and winning 3-0.
The playoff stage will take place from June 26 to 29. It will be played in a double-bracket format. The grand finals will be a best-of-7 series with the winning team earning $70,000 and a spot in Marvel Rivals Ignite EMEA Stage 2.
