Honor of Kings India Launch: Events, Esports Roadmap, and New Hero

Developed by Tencent’s TiMi Studio and published by Level Infinite, Honor of Kings, the world’s most-played MOBA, has officially launched in India. Starting today, players can download the game on both iOS and Android devices.

Honor of Kings India is now available on iOS and Android. Discover launch events, esports roadmap, creator incentives, and the upcoming India-inspired hero.

Built around its core philosophy of “Free to Play, Fair to Win,” Honor of Kings aims to deliver a competitive mobile experience where success is determined by skill and strategy rather than spending. From securing first blood to unleashing pentakills and legendary plays, players can team up with friends, compete in ranked matches, and climb the competitive ladder.

With classic 5v5 MOBA gameplay at its core, the Honor of Kings India launch also introduces localized content, multiple in-game events, esports participation pathways, and a roadmap that includes a localized hero and campus competitions.

Honor of Kings India Launch Official Statement

In a press release, Dean Huang, Producer of Honor of Kings, commented on the official launch of the game in India:

“We are excited to officially launch Honor of Kings in India and welcome players to experience the ultimate 5v5 hero battle game on mobile. Built on our ‘Free to Play, Fair to Win’ philosophy, the game is designed to offer fair matchups, competitive depth, and an engaging experience for players of all skill levels. With dedicated in-game launch events, upcoming localized content including a new hero, and expanded esports opportunities, we look forward to building a vibrant community of players and creators in India.”

He further added:

“Moreover, after launch, we plan to invest in initiatives worth 100 million rupees to support the development of the creator and esports ecosystems. The program will include incentives, bonuses, and exclusive in-game content tasks aimed at discovering, supporting, and rewarding outstanding Honor of Kings creators in India.”

Honor of Kings Gameplay and Features

At the center of Honor of Kings India is Hero’s Gorge, a 5v5 battleground designed around strategic coordination, fair matchups, and competitive gameplay.

The game brings the classic MOBA experience to mobile, offering multiple battle modes and a diverse roster of heroes with different roles and playstyles.

With localized hero voiceovers and optimized server performance, Honor of Kings enables smooth matchmaking and ranked battles, allowing players to compete alongside friends and climb the ranks on mobile.

Honor of Kings India Launch Events

To celebrate its India launch, Honor of Kings is introducing several limited-time in-game events designed to reward early players with exclusive heroes, skins, and prizes.

Sign In for a Free Epic Skin

Running from launch until April 11, this event allows players to unlock milestone rewards.

The Day 21 final reward will grant players the Epic Skin “Feline Whisperer” for Mai Shiranui.

Honor of Kings India Hero Inspired by Indian Culture

As part of its India launch roadmap, Honor of Kings will introduce a new hero inspired by Indian culture in June.

The upcoming character will integrate local cultural elements and distinctive design influences while maintaining the game’s established gameplay framework.

More details about the hero are expected to be revealed closer to launch.

Honor of Kings India Esports Plans

Alongside the launch, Honor of Kings India is expanding its competitive ecosystem with both global tournament pathways and regional events.

Indian teams will have the opportunity to compete at the Honor of Kings World Cup 2026, which will take place during the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Two dedicated slots have been allocated to India, allowing the country’s top teams to compete internationally. The Honor of Kings World Cup 2026 will feature a prize pool exceeding ₹27 crore.

KINGS’ Arise: India City Tour

Honor of Kings will also host the KINGS’ Arise: India City Tour, inviting players from across the country to compete in offline finals across multiple cities.
