Asterisk Women and Velocity Gaming X looked like the strongest contenders with the likes of Meow16K, CaspeR, Rose, and many other experienced South Asian players. Both teams qualified for Split 2 based on their Split 1 performance, with Velocity Gaming X (then Zodiac Gods) defeating Asterisk Women (then DOT EXE GC) in the finals.

In Split 2, Asterisk Women and Velocity Gaming X went on an undefeated streak before they met each other in the upper finals. Asterisk Women took down Velocity to push their opponents in the lower brackets and qualify for the finals. After receiving their first defeat in Split 2, Velocity charged back in the lower finals against ZeroFrags GC with a 2-1 win.

After a crushing defeat in the upper finals, Velocity wanted to take revenge on Asterisk. The best-of-five finals started in favour of Velocity Gaming X as they took an early lead by winning on Icebox. Chloettw on Killjoy helped Velocity in sealing the second half in their name. Asterisk Women took an aggressive stance on Lotus, helping them grab an 8-4 lead in their favour. Twirly and Casper led the charge and took 20 kills each. After dropping a single round in the second half, Asterisk won Lotus with a 13-5 scoreline.

Asterisk continued its domination over Ascent. In the first half, Asterisk took an 8-4 lead, helping them secure a comfortable position in the second half. Velocity Gaming X looked helpless as Asterisk took down Velocity’s defence in the second half to grab the map with a 13-4 scoreline. After two back-to-back map wins, Asterisk’s confidence was visible in the fourth map of Haven. Despite Velocity’s resistance, Asterisk managed to secure a 7-5 scoreline on defence. As the sides switched, Asterisk grabbed six back-to-back rounds to win the map and the tournament.

With the 3-1 victory over Velocity Gaming X, Asterisk Women became the champions of the VALORANT Game Changers 2025: South Asia Split 2. Asterisk Women will represent South Asia at the Game Changers Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand, where the top eight Pacific Game Changers teams will compete for the qualification for the Game Changers Championship 2025.
