VCT 2025 China Stage 2: TyLoo Dominates Week 2, Trace Upset EDG

After a cinematic end to VALORANT at Esports World Cup 2025, VCT 2025: China Stage 2 resumes. Week 2 of China Stage 2 featured eight games across Group Alpha and Omega. After an early loss in Week 1, TyLoo gained momentum in Week 2 with two wins, whereas FunPlus Phoenix and Xi Lai Gaming continued their early undefeated run in Group Omega. Another highlight of Week 2 was Trace Esports’ victory over EDward Gaming, pushing the fan favourites down in Group Alpha. 



TyLoo Dominates Week 2 With Comprehensive Wins Over Trace Esports And Titan Esports Club

After losing to Bilibili in Week 1, TyLoo went back to the drawing boards during the extended break. Week 2 started with TyLoo taking down Trace Esports with a 2-0 scoreline, marking their first win of Stage 2. TyLoo carried their momentum against Titan Esports Club with a promising 2-0 win. 


Trace Esports learnt from their mistakes against TyLoo to crush the fan favourite EDward Gaming. After trading maps on Sunset and Bind, Trace dismantled EDG 13–3 on Icebox, shaking up the standings. Bilibili Gaming took down JDG Esports to continue as the only undefeated team in Group Alpha.

 

FunPlus Phoenix, Xi Lai Gaming, Dragon Ranger Gaming Continues With A 2-0 Record In Group Omega

In Group Omega, FunPlus Phoenix, Xi Lai Gaming, and Dragon Ranger Gaming are leading the points table with a 2-0 record, with FunPlus Phoenix standing on top, thanks to their record difference. FunPlus Phoenix took down Nova Esports with a 2-1 score in an intense best-of-three matchup. Nova Esports are yet to grab a victory in Stage 2.


All Gamers grabbed their first win of Stage 2 by defeating Wolves Esports with a 2-0 scoreline, but fell short against Dragon Ranger Gaming on the final day of Week 2. After a promising run at the VCT 2025: Masters Toronto, Wolves Esports are off to a poor start with a 0-3 record. Wolves Esports and Nova Esports grab a win next week to stay alive in the race to the playoffs.
