VCT Pacific Reveals Slot Distribution for Ascension Pacific 2025

VCT Ascension Pacific 2025 will be taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, where the Challengers League teams will compete for a shot at the international league. With the new SEA Challengers and the possibility of ascended teams to come back in the Ascension, the audience was unclear about slot distributions. VCT Pacific has cleared the air by announcing the slot distributions for the upcoming VCT Ascension Pacific 2025.

A Detailed Breakdown Of The New Distribution of VCT Ascension Pacific 2025

VCT Ascension is one of the most significant tournaments for the Challengers League teams. The winners of the respective regions of VCT Ascension secure a slot in the regional VCT partnership league. In their latest post, VCT Pacific announced the new slot distribution for all teams. Below is a look at the latest slot distribution:

• Southeast Asia: 4 Slots

• South Korea: 1 Slot

• Japan: 1 Slot

• South Asia: 1 Slot

• Oceania: 1 Slot

• Flexible Slots: 2 Slots

Teams from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore are competing in a combined SEA Challengers League. With the new distribution, Southeast Asia will get at least four slots at the Ascension. The fate for the other slots will be in the hands of the guest teams.

The Impact Of The New Slot Distribution

This year, most VALORANT Challengers leagues in the Pacific region have three Splits. Within each Split, based on the ranking of the teams, they receive a certain number of circuit points. Following the conclusion of the third Split, teams with the highest circuit points will be awarded a spot at the VCT Ascension Pacific.

If the guest teams, Nongshim Redforce and Boom Esports, fail to extend their stay but get a chance to defend their slot, they will fill the flexible slots. If one of the teams extends their stay in the international league or gets relegated to the Challengers league, then the 5th place team from VCL SEA will secure the slot. If none of the guest teams compete in the Ascension, both flexible slots will go to the SEA Challengers.
