The opening round matchups for the Swiss Stage of VALORANT Masters Bangkok have been drawn. Riot Games conducted the live draw at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany, immediately after Team Vitality claimed victory at the VCT EMEA Kickoff Grand Finals.

The eight teams competing in Southeast Asia’s first international VALORANT event were divided into two pools prior to the draw, one for regional top seeds from Kickoff events and the other for second seeds. The initial draw produced intriguing matchups, including DRX vs. Sentinels and EDward Gaming vs. Team Liquid.
Initially, Sentinels were drawn to face Team Vitality, but with DRX and T1 left in the pool, adjustments were necessary due to rules preventing first-round matchups between teams from the same region. As a result, Sentinels were paired with Pacific’s top seed DRX, while T1 faced EMEA’s top seed Team Vitality.
DRX will look to avenge their previous loss to Sentinels, who defeated them 2-0 at VALORANT Champions Seoul, sending the Pacific powerhouse to the lower bracket.
VALORANT Masters Bangkok kicks off on February 20 at the UOB Live Arena. The Swiss Stage will run for four days, with teams advancing to the playoffs after securing two wins, while those with two losses are eliminated. The playoffs, featuring a four-team double-elimination bracket, will take place from February 27 to March 2.

Here are the complete first round matchups:
