VCT Masters Bangkok 2025: Everything You Need to Know

The first global event of the 2025 VALORANT Champions Tour is here! Masters Bangkok will see the top 8 teams from around the world compete from February 20 to March 2 in Bangkok, Thailand, for the title of Masters Bangkok Champions. Here’s a breakdown of the teams, format, schedule, and everything else you need to know.

The teams competing in Masters Bangkok earned their spots through the VCT Kickoff 2025 in their respective International Leagues—VCT Americas, VCT Pacific, VCT EMEA, and VCT China. These tournaments determined the two strongest teams from each league to represent their region:

Tournament Format

Masters Bangkok 2025 features two stages of competition: the Swiss Stage and the Playoffs.

Swiss Stage (February 20–24)

Teams must secure 2 wins to advance or will be eliminated after 2 losses.
A maximum of three rounds will be played, with all matches being Best-of-Three (Bo3).
Teams that win Round 1 will move up, while losers face elimination matches.
Matches will be decided by random draws, ensuring no same-region matchups in the first round.
The top 4 teams after three rounds will advance to the Bracket Stage.

Playoffs (February 27–March 2)

A random draw will pair the four Swiss Stage qualifiers into a Double-Elimination Bracket.
All matches are Bo3, except for the Lower Final and Grand Final, which will be Best-of-Five (Bo5).
The winner will be crowned Masters Bangkok Champion.

Masters Bangkok MVP

At the end of the tournament, the Masters Bangkok MVP will be selected by a panel of on-air talent, co-streamers, press, and league officials.

The Road to Champions Paris

Masters Bangkok marks the first step toward the VALORANT Champions 2025 in Paris. Teams will accumulate Championship Points throughout the season, which will determine qualification for Champions.

The new Championship Points system ensures every stage of the season carries weight. Masters Bangkok will award points to the top 4 teams, with deeper distribution compared to previous years.
