TALON opened Week 1 of VCT Pacific Stage 2 with a strong performance in the opening series on Tuesday, July 15. With standout showings from Anupong “thyy” Preamsak and Papaphat “Primmie” Sriprapha, the team secured a 2-0 win over BOOM Esports. The squad carried that momentum through the Super Week, closing out with another 2-0 sweep against ZETA DIVISION to finish the week tied at the top of Group Omega.

Paper Rex also shares the lead in Group Omega after a flawless Week 1 that puts them on par with TALON. The VCT Masters Toronto champions were tested in their opener against T1, but managed to close the series 2-0 after both maps went to overtime. On Thursday, July 19, they earned another clean sweep, this time over DetonatioN FocusMe, with back-to-back 13–7 wins on Lotus and Haven.

T1 and DetonatioN FocusMe wrapped up the Super Week with one win and one loss each, defeating BOOM Esports and ZETA DIVISION, respectively. Both squads made roster changes ahead of VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2, aiming to improve after bagging mixed results in the previous split. Meanwhile, their opponents closed out Week 1 empty-handed as the race for a spot at Valorant Champions begins.

No Clear Leader in Group Alpha After Chaotic VCT Pacific Stage 2 Week 1

In Group Alpha, no team managed to take the lead as all squads earned points during Super Week. Gen.G seemed on track for a perfect start after a convincing 2-0 win over DRX, but couldn’t keep up the momentum against Rex Regum Qeon. The Indonesian side closed out Sunday’s matches with a win that echoed the Stage 1 final where the Korean squad also fell 3-1.

The action in VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2 will resume next Friday, July 25, with Week 2 kicking off as Gen.G takes on Global Esports. Fans can follow the teams on their road to VALORANT Champions Paris through the official Twitch and YouTube channels.
