Sources: S8UL Set to Sign Hoax from Orangutan, Replace D1SEASE Ahead of VCL SA Split 2

Just weeks after revealing their brand-new VALORANT roster, S8UL Esports is already gearing up for a major change. According to sources, S8UL is in the final stages of signing Aman "Hoax" Yadav from Orangutan Esports, replacing D1SEASE on the active lineup.

S8UL had a mixed debut in the VALORANT Challengers League South Asia 2025: Split 1, where they managed to secure a 5th place finish, taking home ₹1,20,000 INR in prize money. Although it was a respectable start for the new lineup — especially as they prepare for a tougher battlefield in Split 2.

With Hoax reportedly stepping in, S8UL seems focused on shoring up their fragging power and experience as they look to rise through the VCL ranks.

Hoax: The Power Pick

Hoax, a familiar name in the South Asian VALORANT scene, has previously played for Velocity Gaming and Grayfox Esports, before most recently competing under the Orangutan banner. Hoax brings a depth of experience that could significantly boost S8UL's performance.

If finalized, this move marks a statement of intent from S8UL — showing that they’re willing to make bold roster decisions to become serious contenders in the regional VALORANT scene.

Orangutan Yet to Respond

Meanwhile, Orangutan Esports, who finished Top 3 in Split 1 with impressive wins over tournament favorites, have not made any public announcements about potential roster changes. If Hoax’s departure is confirmed, it will leave a noticeable gap in their starting five — one that could impact their momentum heading into Split 2.
