Sources: Global Esports Sign ban, Release patrickWHO

According to sources, Global Esports have signed Joseph “ban” Seungmin Oh, formerly of TALON, as part of a roster shakeup following their disappointing start to the 2025 VCT season. The move comes as Mark “patrickWHO” Musni is released from the roster and no longer remains under contract with the organization.

In addition, Go “UdoTan” Kyung-won will now take over the duelist role for the team. Derrick “Deryeon” Yee, who had recently returned to the starting lineup, has been moved back to the substitute position.

This roster change comes in the wake of Global Esports' underwhelming performance in the 2025 VCT Pacific Kickoff and Stage 1. The team faced early exits, including a 0–2 loss to Paper Rex in a do-or-die situation match during Stage 1. These results have prompted the organization to reassess and restructure its lineup in hopes of a stronger showing in upcoming stages.

ban brings a wealth of experience to Global Esports. With a career spanning teams like T1 and TALON, ban has demonstrated adaptability and skill across various team compositions and regional competitions. His tenure with T1 was particularly noteworthy, contributing to the team's success. Ban's international experience and strategic prowess are expected to provide Global Esports with the leadership and versatility needed to navigate the challenges of the VCT Pacific League.

With these changes, Global Esports’ roster is:
