Post-Champions 2025: The Road Ahead for VALORANT Esports

As the VCT 2025: Masters Toronto is approaching its end, Riot Games shares their plan for the remaining part of the year. In the new update, Riot Games talked about the roadmap of Valorant Esports after the Champions 2025, including Ascension, Game Changers, the future of ascended teams, and the introduction of the VCT Partner Series. Here is a brief schedule of Valorant Esports post-Champions 2025.

Valorant Game Changers Championship 2025 To Take Place In Seoul

After the Valorant Champions 2025, the Game Changers Championship 2025, featuring the top 10 GC teams from four regions, will compete for the ultimate championship title. With their roadmap update, Riot shared that the Game Changers Championship 2025 will take place in Seoul, South Korea. Of the 10 teams, four slots are given to the Americas, 3 to the EMEA, 2 to the Pacific and one to China. 

Ascension And Ascended Teams

Ascension will be the highly anticipated event for the tier-2 teams, as it will be a golden opportunity for the Challengers and Ascended teams to compete in the International Leagues. Here is the schedule for the regional Ascension events. 

• VCT Ascension EMEA: October 19 - 26th in the VCT EMEA Berlin studio

• VCT Ascension Americas: October 17 - 26th in the Riot Games São Paulo studio

• VCT Ascension China: October 11 - 19th in the VCT CN Studio

• VCT Ascension Pacific: October 13 - 26th in Bangkok, Thailand

Here is how the Ascended teams can continue their journey in the International League.

• Ascended teams can extend their stay in the International League by qualifying for Champions 2025. 

• If the Ascended teams fail to qualify for Champions 2025, they can defend their slot at Ascension. To compete and defend their slot at Ascension, Ascended teams will have to:

  • Qualify for Stage 2 Playoffs

  • Be in the top eight of the Champions Points

• If both the Ascended teams qualify for the Champions 2025,  the lower-performing team will get a chance to defend their slot at the Ascension.

• If the Ascended teams fail to meet any of the above criteria, they will be relegated to the Challengers League.

VCT Partner Series

Riot Games also introduced the VCT Partner Series, which will be a series of off-season events hosted in partnership with Riot Games. With the VCT Partner Series, Riot will work closely with the TOs, support them with sourcing VCT teams, and grant an opportunity to the Challengers and Amateur teams to compete against the partnered teams. Here is the first batch of events planned for the VCT Partner Series. 

• Red Bull Home Ground World Final: November 14-16

• SOOP VALORANT League Pacific: December 1-7

• Project Blender: October - December
