Johnta Departs ZETA DIVISION Following Contract Expiration

ZETA DIVISION has announced the departure of head coach Ivan “Johnta” Shevcov after the expiration of his contract. The Ukrainian coach joined ZETA’s VALORANT division in October 2024, tasked with revitalizing the team’s performance. However, despite early promise, the team struggled to achieve consistent results under his leadership.

Johnta brought extensive experience as a player and coach, helping ZETA lay a strong strategic foundation. His tenure began on a positive note, with ZETA achieving a second-place finish at the Red Bull Home Ground 2024 APAC Qualifier. However, their performance faltered on the international stage. At the VCT Pacific Kickoff, ZETA finished in last place (9th-12th), suffering 0-2 losses to Nongshim RedForce and regional powerhouse Paper Rex.

Despite the disappointing end to his tenure, ZETA expressed gratitude for Johnta's efforts. We are grateful for Johnta's contributions and wish him continued success in the future,” the organization said in an official statement.

ZETA now enters a new chapter, with head coach XQQ returning to lead the team alongside assistant coach Carlao. The duo faces the challenge of rebuilding ZETA’s competitiveness in the Pacific region. With a rich history and a loyal fanbase, the team is eager to move past recent struggles and regain its footing.

As for Johnta, his next steps remain unknown. Given his coaching pedigree and tactical acumen, he is likely to attract interest from other organizations.
