Global Esports Academy has officially parted ways with two key players — Envy2K and LilBOii, signalling potential shifts in the academy's strategic direction. After joining the franchise league, Global Esports announced their academy lineup, with Envy2K and LilBOii as the core members. The shuffle in the roster is the result of a disappointing run at the VCL 2025: South Asia Split 1 and 2.

Strategic Overhaul Begins at Global Esports Academy Post-VCL 2025

Both Envy2K and LilBOii joined the Global Esports Academy roster during a pivotal phase in the team's journey within the South Asian VALORANT challengers ecosystem. Tasked with not just competing but also setting an example for aspiring talent in the region, the duo contributed to multiple regional tournaments and scrimmages, helping the academy build a foundation for long-term development.

A Look Back at Their Tenure

Envy2K, known for his calculated playstyle and sharp aim, provided the squad with consistency in high-pressure situations, often taking on roles that demanded stability and precision. His experience and communication also played a vital role in guiding younger players.

LilBOii, on the other hand, brought flair and mechanical brilliance to the team. His explosive potential as a duelist and ability to make high-impact plays underlined many of the academy's best performances in recent months. Though still young, his growth during his stint with the GE Academy has not gone unnoticed.

What This Means for Global Esports Academy

The departure of these two players comes at a time when the South Asian VALORANT scene is undergoing rapid evolution, with increasing competition, talent mobility, and growing investment in the Tier 2 circuit. For Global Esports Academy, this decision may be part of a broader strategic reset — either to make room for upcoming prospects or to realign with performance goals set for the latter half of the 2025 season.

No announcements have been made yet regarding who will fill the vacated spots on the roster or whether any promotions from the organisation's scouting network are imminent.
