Gen.G has mutually agreed to terminate the contract of Chae "yoman" Young-moon, ending his brief tenure with the team. His departure comes less than two weeks before the start of VCT Pacific Stage 1, leaving Gen.G with a roster spot to fill.

The move follows Gen.G’s disappointing run at VCT Pacific Kickoff. After an opening 2-0 loss to DRX, the team managed to reach the lower final but was eliminated by eventual Masters Bangkok champions T1. Their third-place finish meant Gen.G missed out on an international event for the first time since 2023.

Yoman joined Gen.G in the offseason as part of a roster shuffle. While the organization retained its core trio of t3xture, Karon, and in-game leader Munchkin, they parted ways with Meteor and Lakia. To fill the gaps, they brought in yoman alongside former DRX talent Foxy9. However, his stint with the team lasted just five months.

Prior to Gen.G, yoman had built a reputation as a journeyman across multiple teams. He was a key player for Rare Atom in China Ascension 2023, where they were heavily favored to win but ultimately lost to Dragon Ranger Gaming in the grand final. While most of Rare Atom’s roster secured a spot on JDG Esports, yoman was left out due to import restrictions. He then competed in the Korean Challengers circuit with Nongshim RedForce in 2024, finishing as runners-up in Split 2 after a loss to Sin Prisa Gaming. Ironically, Sin Prisa was later acquired by Nongshim after winning Pacific Ascension, once again leaving yoman without a team.

During his time with Gen.G, yoman played in multiple OFF//SEASON tournaments. The team secured a title at the TEN Valorant Asia Invitational, reached the grand final of SOOP Valorant League before falling to NRG Esports, placed 1st-2nd at Gwangju Esports Series, and finished 5th-6th at Radiant Asia Invitational.

His role on the team centered around non-flash initiators, with Sova being his most-played agent throughout the offseason. This carried over into VCT Pacific Kickoff, where he maintained an even spread between Sova and Fade. In contrast, Lakia, whom he replaced had a more diverse agent pool, frequently playing Gekko and Skye. This difference in flexibility may have impacted Gen.G’s tactical approach.
