Four Pacific Teams Secure Spots at PUBG PC Esports World Cup 2025 via APAC Qualifiers

The APAC qualifier was a final opportunity for emerging teams across Southeast Asia and the broader APAC region to prove themselves and seize a shot at the $2 million showdown in Riyadh. Of the 24 teams, only the top four squads will fly to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to compete in the Esports World Cup 2025.

Each subregion hosted Open Qualifiers and Play-In Round, leading into a Grand Finals featuring 16 teams, playing across 18 FPP squad matches. Points were awarded based on match placements and kills, testing both survival instincts and firepower. Notably, powerhouse teams like Theerathon Five, Daytrade Gaming, and The Expendables did not participate due to already qualifying via the Global Esports Rankings.

Final Standings – APAC Grand Finals

After nine days of intense play, the top four teams secured progression to the next stage of the EWC qualification circuit:

1. Buriram United Esports (Thailand)

2. Sharper Esport (Thailand)

3. TDT Esports (Vietnam)

4. All Gamers Global (Will compete as AG.AL in EWC) (Vietnam)

   
   

Buriram United Esports dominated the leaderboard from start to finish, establishing themselves as favourites from the start of the Play-In Round and carrying that momentum into the Finals. Sharper Esport looked impressive with a well-balanced approach that combined mechanical prowess with map awareness.

TDT Esports, representing Vietnam, was one of the most exciting dark horses of the event. Their clutch engagements and bold decision-making saw them consistently disrupt the top teams’ game plans and cement a place in the top three. All Gamers Global in the Final Round came as one of the hyped teams, but quickly made a name for themselves with a series of smart rotations and disciplined team play.

Esports World Cup 2025 - PUBG PC

Set to take place from August 12–16 at Boulevard Riyadh City (BR Arena) in Saudi Arabia, the EWC 2025 is one of the top-tier events of PUBG’s competitive year. The tournament will feature a massive prize pool of $2,000,000, with 24 PUBG PC teams competing, who qualified through Power Ranking and regional qualifiers. PUBG PC at EWC 2025 will kick off with the Group Stage, where the teams will be divided into three groups of eight. The top 16 teams will qualify for the finals, which will take place from August 15 to August 16.
