Esports World Cup VALORANT 2025: Opening Matches and Schedule Revealed

With the start of July 2025, the fans are excited for the most anticipated events in the VALORANT competitive calendar: the Esports World Cup 2025. Featuring 16 of the world's best teams, the tournament is scheduled to run from July 8 to 13 at the STC Arena in Boulevard Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia. After two successful editions of the event, it is the first time fans will witness VALORANT at the Esports World Cup, joining a lineup of premier esports titles in a summer-long festival of competition.

The top sixteen teams from four regions will compete in the Esports World Cup Valorant 2025. Here are the groups for the event's Group Stage.

Esports World Cup VALORANT 2025: Tournament Format

The tournament kicks off on July 8, 2025, with a double-elimination group stage. In the group stage, the teams will be divided into four groups of four. The first round will be played in best-of-one (BO1) format, then switches to best-of-three (BO3) games for the rest of the tournament. The top two from each group will advance into the playoffs. Here are the opening matches of the group stage.

  • DRX vs. XiLai Gaming [Group B]

  • Gen.G vs. EDward Gaming [Group D]


Following the group stages, eight teams will compete in the playoffs in a single-elimination format. The playoffs will start on July 11, 2025, and will conclude with a best-of-five grand finals on July 13, 2025. VALORANT will feature a massive $1,250,000 prize pool, with the winner grabbing $500,000.


Fans can catch all the action live on the official Esports World Cup channels across Twitch, YouTube, and regional broadcast partners. Multilingual commentary and match VODs will be available throughout the event.
