Bilibili Gaming Gambling Controversy After Worlds 2025

As the League of Legends World Championship nears its final stages, the community’s attention has shifted toward a team no longer competing in the tournament. Bilibili Gaming’s players have become embroiled in controversy over alleged involvement in illegal gambling shortly after their elimination from Worlds 2025, sparking outrage among fans.

Bilibili Gaming faces a gambling controversy after Worlds 2025 as leaked videos show players in illegal venues, sparking outrage among League of Legends fans.

One of the biggest disappointments of the tournament, Bilibili Gaming failed to advance past the Swiss Stage after being eliminated by Top Esports. The LPL champions struggled to find form throughout Worlds 2025 and faced widespread criticism for their underwhelming performances. However, the situation escalated further when reports surfaced that several players had visited an illegal gambling venue shortly after their exit.

Leaked Videos Show Bilibili Gaming’s Controversial Night Out

Videos circulating on Chinese social media allegedly show several Bilibili Gaming players spending the night at a karaoke and entertainment bar in Shanghai. These types of establishments often operate in a legal gray area, with some reportedly offering female companionship services that may border on sexual in nature.

In the videos, the players appear to be playing Texas Hold’em, further fueling backlash among fans. Both gambling and sexual services are illegal in China and remain strong cultural taboos.

Another social media post included photos and recordings, alleging that one of the women present had engaged in inappropriate acts with Luo “On” Wen-Jun. Coaches Fu “BigWei” Chien-We and Zuo “LvMao” Ming-Hao were also said to be in attendance, along with team manager Hou “Holy” Lini.

Players Deny Involvement Amid Bilibili Gaming Gambling Controversy

Yuuu on X: “Shad0w said he spent the last 3 days playing Pokémon at home and didn’t leave the house at all! Elk said he’s sick and has delivery app receipts from 8 PM as an alibi! Knight said he was working out last night!”

Zhuo “Knight” Ding and Yang “Beichuan” Ling did not appear in any of the leaked posts, suggesting they were not present at the venue. Zhao “Shad0w” Zhi-Qiang publicly defended himself, stating that he had been home playing Pokémon in recent days, while Zhao “Elk” Jia-Hao claimed he was ill and presented food delivery receipts as proof of his whereabouts.

Community Reaction and Ongoing Silence

The controversy adds to a growing list of scandals that have rocked the LPL this year, raising concerns about player professionalism and off-stage conduct. Fans across Chinese and global social platforms have expressed disappointment and frustration, calling for greater accountability from both the players and the organization.

So far, Bilibili Gaming has not released an official statement addressing the allegations or confirming whether any internal investigation is underway.
