Battlegrounds India Series is the first official tournament of BGMI Esports of 2025. The tournament is currently taking place in the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in Kolkata, West Bengal. Day 2 came to a close with Godlike Esports topping the group with Reckoning Esports in second place. Here is everything you need to know about day 2 of BGIS 2025.

BGIS 2025 Day 2 Recap: Godlike Leads the Chart

The BGIS 2025 Grand Finals is a 3-day lan tournament. The 16 remaining teams will face off against each other to win the BGIS trophy. This year, the tournament boasts its highest prize pool to date, exceeding $370,000. One thing to note before the recap is the venue of the event. The venue is equipped with LED boards throughout. This is primarily done to showcase specific crucial stats of most players at a given moment to the audience.

Day 2 began in a quite different way from Day 1. Team Versatile started the day strong, securing the first chicken dinner of the day. They then went one level further and secured another chicken dinner in the next match. The crucial point to note here was that Spower was on fire during this match. He ended the game with 10 finishes, the most by any player until now in the tournament.

As stated above, Godlike Esports is the top team. While they didn't secure any chicken dinners on day 2, they achieved a high number of kills. Currently, they are leading the charts in the most finish points by any team in this tournament with 84. The interesting part is that they could only secure five placement points during day 2. It must be noted that if Godlike Esports could slow their aggression and focus on securing more placement points, it would be similar to how Reckoning Esports is playing this tournament.

They have been one of the most consistent teams through the event. While they couldn't secure a single chicken dinner on day 2, they had a consistent stream of points. Currently, they lead the charge among the teams with the most placement points. Another team to keep an eye on is Organtuan. Alongside VXT, they are the only team to have secured 2 Chicken dinners during this tournament. Currently, they sit in 4th place with 89 points. That's just a difference of 16 points.

Only time will tell which team will secure the trophy of BGIS 2025 and return home as champions.
